mimesis is an engineering company specialized in R&D in the fields of fluids, thermofluids and functional design.

mimesis combines analysis capabilities, both experimental and numerical, with design skills and automatic optimization expertise in an integrated approach for thermofluid improvement of products, processes and infrastructures.

the company

mimesis was born in 2005 as a spinoff company of the Applied Physics research group of DIEF (Dipartimento di Ingegneria “Enzo Ferrari”) at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia aiming at linking the academic and the enterprise worlds.

The skills developed by the research group and the industrial partnerships in automotive, transportations, aerospace, biomedics, hvac, marine, electric and energy fields, were conveyed in a business oriented service.

The close synergy with the Applied Physics research group allows mimesis to access state of the art knowledge and the most advanced numerical and experimental facilities; at the same time industrial challenges offer the opportunity to put constantly into practice the outputs of the research.
